A new report has revealed that Namor and Sue Storm have a lot of screen time in Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday.
According to scooper MyTimeToShineH, “Tenoch Huerta’s Namor and Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm share a lot of scenes together in the desert seen in the leaked Avengers: Doomsday fourth teaser.”
In the Marvel comics, Namor the Sub-Mariner has long had a romantic interest in Sue Storm (the Invisible Woman). Even though Sue is with Reed Richards, Namor is strongly attracted to her and has tried to be with her many times. Although Sue never leaves Reed for Namor, the emotional connection between them is clear and has become one of Marvel’s classic love triangles.
In a recent interview, Tenoch Huerta was asked about Namor and Sue Storm’s relationship in Avengers: Doomsday.
He said, “I know, dude. I really like him. Well, I really like Pedro Pascal.”
Speaking to La Resolana, Tenoch Huerta revealed that he filmed scenes with Vanessa Kirby for Avengers: Doomsday, referring to her as “a great and spectacular coworker.”
In the fourth leaked trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, Shuri is shown approaching Talokan, where we briefly see Namor’s new look. The footage then cuts to Shuri walking alongside M’Baku as they arrive to meet Ben Grimm, also known as the Thing, aboard a Wakandan aircraft. The scene then cuts to black. The Wakandans and the Fantastic Four will return in Avengers: Doomsday.
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.
