Exclusive: The Punisher will get his own show following the release of Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+. According to a Twitter source (@MyTimeToShineH), it has been confirmed that The Punisher will have his own show on Disney+ after the release of Daredevil: Born Again. Marvel has already confirmed that Jon Bernthal will reprise his role as The Punisher in the upcoming Marvel series, starring alongside Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio. Also, there are plans to develop a separate show focused on Bernthal’s The Punisher.
Recently, a training video featuring Bernthal has been shared by Taran Tactical Innovations, a famous company recognized for its top-notch products and its dedication to assisting customers in enhancing their shooting abilities. In the video, Bernthal is seen utilizing firearms and honing his shooting skills, which are commonly used in the John Wick film franchise.
Bernthal’s The Punisher was last seen in the second season of the Netflix series, which premiered in January 2019. Despite the show’s popularity and critical acclaim, Netflix decided to cancel it, along with the other Marvel Netflix series, in February 2019. This was due to the expiration of their licensing agreement with Marvel. Currently, The Punisher is available for streaming on Disney+.
Daredevil: Born Again is created by Matt Corman and Chris Ord for Disney+. It serves as a direct sequel to the series Echo and a standalone continuation of the Daredevil storyline. As the twenty-sixth MCU television series and the ninth installment of Phase Five, Daredevil: Born Again features a cast including Michael Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva, Sandrine Holt, and Nikki M. James. The series is produced by Marvel Studios, with executive producers Kevin Feige, Chris Gary, Matt Corman, and Chris Ord.
Daredevil: Born Again season 1 consists of eighteen episodes and is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in the spring of 2024.
