The new ‘Dragon Ball‘ series ‘Dragon Ball: Daima‘ is coming in fall 2024. Toei Animation, at New York Comic Con, revealed their plans to return Son Goku to the small screen, picking up where the anime left off. Along with the announcement, a new trailer was screened, and it got leaked on Twitter (X). Watch it below.
According to reports, Dragon Ball Magic is not a sequel to Dragon Ball Super. It covers the time between Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super with new events, so there are no Ultra Instinct showdowns. Dragon Ball: Daima will give Goku a new adventure. He’ll be de-aged and travel the galaxy with Kaioshin, likely meeting familiar allies along the way.
Dragon Ball: Daima, the upcoming canon installment in the Dragon Ball series, is slated for a 2024 release. The last release, ‘Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero,’ continued from ‘Dragon Ball Super: Broly’ and the TV anime. Fans are excited for the anime adaptation of the manga’s original arcs.
