‘Fast X’ Becomes Fifth-Highest-Grossing Film of 2023, Grossing $512 Million Worldwide
‘Fast X‘ has grossed $512 million at the worldwide box office. making it the fifth highest-grossing film of 2023. Within this total, it earned $110 million from the domestic box office and an additional $402 million from the international box office.
According to Variety, ‘Fast X’ easily secured the top spot at the mainland China box office for a second consecutive weekend, pushing its overall earnings beyond the $100 million mark. However, the noteworthy topic of conversation was the lackluster debut of Disney’s live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid. As per the data from consultancy Artisan Gateway, ‘Fast X’ earned $17.6 million in China during its second weekend. ‘The Little Mermaid’ earned $38 million on its domestic opening day. It is on track to earn $104 million for its weekend debut and $120 million–$130 million for the Memorial Day 3-day weekend. The film is also the 7th highest preview gross for a G-/PG-rated movie in history at the box office, with $10.8 million earned on Thursday.
