Felicity Jones (‘Inferno’), Michelle Pfeiffer (‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’), Chloë Grace Moretz (‘November Criminals’), and Dominic Sessa (‘The Holdovers’) are set to star in Michael Showalter’s holiday comedy ‘Oh. What. Fun.‘ for Amazon MGM Studios.
The film is directed by Showalter from a screenplay co-written with Chandler Baker and is produced via Semi-Formal Productions alongside Jordana Mollick, Tribeca’s Berry Welsh and Jane Rosenthal, and Kate Churchill.
What is the Plot of ‘Oh. What. Fun.’?
The film centers on Claire Clauster (Pfeiffer), who plans a special Christmas but is forgotten by her family. When they realize she’s missing, their holiday is at risk until she returns to give them the celebration they deserve.
The script, based on a short story by Baker, who also executive produces, was originally published by Amazon Original Stories. Read the plot synopsis below:
Everyone is home for the holidays, clamoring for all the Christmas cheer only their mother can whip up. They can already smell the chestnuts roasting—or is that Mom’s hair on fire? From a New York Times bestselling author comes a laugh-out-loud short story for any mom who’d rather wreck the halls.
Tyler, Channing, and Sammy Clauster have descended on their childhood home, with significant others and four-year-old twins in tow, for another good old-fashioned Christmas. Overwhelming holiday magic, as always, comes courtesy of their mom, Claire. They know she’s thrilled to cook, wrap gifts, decorate, accommodate, play games, overprepare every Christmas Eve Eve Eve tradition, and still let Dad be known as the Fun One. It’s her thing, right? Maybe the family should have paid closer attention. Because this year, something is a little off-key—and it’s not just the carols.
Where Will ‘Oh. What. Fun.’ Premiere?
‘Oh. What. Fun.’ will premiere on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. The release date has not yet been revealed.
