The first look at Maya Hawke in Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City has been revealed in the first trailer. See the images below.
The film is directed by Wes Anderson, based on a story by Anderson and Roman Coppola. The plot follows: “The itinerary of a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention (organized to bring together students and parents from across the country for fellowship and scholarly competition) is spectacularly disrupted by world-changing events.”
Asteroid City stars Jason Schwartzman, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, Jeffrey Wright, Tilda Swinton, Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Adrien Brody, Liev Schreiber, Hope Davis, Stephen Park as Roger, Rupert Friend as Montana, Maya Hawke, Steve Carell, Matt Dillon as Hank, Hong Chau, Willem Dafoe, and Margot Robbie.
Maya Hawke is the daughter of actors Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman. Hawke made her acting debut in the BBC adaptation of “Little Women” in 2017. She is best known for her role as Robin Buckley in the Netflix series “Stranger Things” starting in season 3. In addition to her acting career, Maya Hawke is also a singer and released her debut album, “Blush” in 2020. Most recently, she starred in Netflix’s “Do Revenge,” alongside Camila Mendes.
Asteroid City will be released by Focus Features in the United States in limited release on June 16, 2023, before expanding wide on June 23, 2023.
