Warning: This post contains spoilers for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
The new official TV spot for Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day reveals Spider-Man, in his classic suit, kicking a shirtless man with a metallic arm into a brick wall.
It is confirmed that the character is Ramrod, just as in the comics. The live-action scene directly recreates the cover of The Amazing Spider-Man #221 (1981), titled “The Rage of Ramrod,” featuring the deep-cut cyborg villain originally introduced in the Daredevil comics.

The opening of Spider-Man: Brand New Day is expected to feature a fast-paced montage of Spider-Man battling multiple villains. The sequence serves as a time jump, showing what Peter Parker has been doing in the four years since Spider-Man: No Way Home.
According to our exclusive report, Billy Clements is rumored to be playing Ramrod in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

In Marvel Comics, Ramrod is an obscure cyborg villain and former construction worker who was transformed into a powerful cybernetic enforcer after a tragic accident. He was originally sent to kill Daredevil before later facing Spider-Man.

Ramrod is one of several villains appearing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, joining Boomerang, Tarantula, and Scorpion.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The film stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds. Sadie Sink joins the cast alongside Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle (a.k.a. The Punisher) and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman, while Michael Mando returns as Mac Gargan from Spider-Man: Homecoming and Marvin Jones III has been confirmed to play the role of Tombstone. Additionally, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova will appear in the movie.
Here are the plot details for Spider-Man: Brand New Day:
After the record-breaking global success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks an entirely new chapter for Peter Parker and Spider-Man.
Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he has devoted himself entirely to protecting his city — a full-time Spider-Man — but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.
The film is produced by Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Mitch Bell.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to hit theaters in RealD 3D, D-BOX, Cinemark XD, 4DX, ScreenX, and Dolby Cinema on July 31, 2026. Ticket sales are now live.
