Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day has officially begun filming in Glasgow, Scotland.
Following the start of production, Marvel Studios has released the first-look teaser for Tom Holland‘s new Spider-Man suit from Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

For fans of Spider-Man, Holland’s new suit in Spider-Man: Brand New Day will feature raised webbing, similar to Tobey Maguire‘s and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man suits.
According to reports, Mr. Negative’s Inner Demons will seemingly appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, based on military vehicles spotted on set in Glasgow with the Inner Demons logo on them. See the set images below.
Spider-Man teams up with the Punisher, and he also fights the Hulk. Additionally, the film is seemingly confirmed to feature Mister Negative. Filming on the first day will include a major action scene featuring Spider-Man and the Punisher fighting over a DODC transport convoy.
In a recent interview with GQ Magazine, Holland said he has been prepping for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Holland said, “I’ve been at the studio doing stunts all day. Today was strenuous, but, you know, we’re making great progress. Everything’s shaping up. Yeah, life couldn’t be any better, really.”
According to the Glasgow Times, the streets of Glasgow have been transformed into New York City for the filming of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Nearly 50 roads will be shut down in Glasgow starting tomorrow as production begins. Filming is reportedly expected to last around two weeks.
Here’s the plot synopsis for Spider-Man: Brand New Day:
After the world has forgotten his name, Peter Parker (Holland) begins a new chapter in his life — balancing college classes, part-time work, and his responsibility as New York’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. But when a mysterious force begins to unravel the city from the inside out, Peter finds himself caught between powerful enemies, old legacies, and unexpected allies. As shadows from the past creep into his present, he must redefine what it truly means to be a hero — on his own.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, the film will be a “multiversal grounded” story featuring multiple villains, including Tarantula, Scorpion, Boomerang, Tombstone, and more.
In the film, Holland will be returning as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon also reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds. Sadie Sink is rumored to play Gwen Stacy, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, a.k.a. the Punisher, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, and Liza Colón-Zayas has been cast in an undisclosed role. Additionally, Michael Mando is expected to reprise his Spider-Man: Homecoming role as Mac Gargan.
The film is produced by Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Mitch Bell.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will hit theaters and IMAX on July 31, 2026.
