Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday is currently filming in Bahrain, and the film’s cinematographer, Newton Thomas Sigel (Bohemian Rhapsody, X-Men: Days of Future Past), has shared a behind-the-scenes image on his Instagram post.
In the image, Sigel unexpectedly captured Winston Duke suited up as M’Baku, the leader of the Jabari Tribe. He is also seen holding the Jabari Staff. See the image below.
We’ve also received two images from Avengers: Doomsday. One features Danny Ramirez, Anthony Mackie, and Duke taking a break during filming in Bahrain, while the other shows Mackie and Simu Liu golfing together. Check them out below.
According to reports, Sam Wilson’s team in Avengers: Doomsday includes Joaquin Torres, Captain Marvel, Bruce Banner, Wong, and Shang-Chi — with She-Hulk possibly being recruited as well.
Following the Bahrain schedule, the next phase of filming will take place at Windsor Great Park in the UK. Marvel Studios has applied for permission through All Time Productions Ltd UK for a period of six months. The set includes a 1960s-themed bungalow, referred to as the “Luke Cage House,” with a spaceship attached, which is currently under construction.
Directed by Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator, Stephen McFeely. Sigel will be the cinematographer.
Marvel President Kevin Feige revealed at CinemaCon 2025 that Avengers: Doomsday will focus on the Avengers, Wakandans, Fantastic Four, the New Avengers (Thunderbolts), and the original X-Men all uniting to fight Doctor Doom (Robert Downey Jr.).

Ian McKellen as Magneto, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, and Channing Tatum as Gambit. Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (Human Torch), Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (The Thing), and Lewis Pullman as Sentry.
