Sophie Rundle and Barry Keoghan were spotted on the set of Netflix‘s Peaky Blinders movie in Bradford, the world’s first UNESCO City of Film, specifically in the Little Germany district where Tommy Shelby’s (Cillian Murphy) factory offices are located. See the images below.
In the film, Rundle reprises her role as Ada Thorne (née Shelby), the only sister of the Shelby brothers, while Keoghan’s role has not yet been disclosed. Recently, Netflix officially shared the first-look image of Keoghan.
Tim Roth has reportedly been spotted on set as well.
Tom Harper is directing the film, which is based on a screenplay by the show’s creator, Steven Knight. Murphy will return as Tommy Shelby.
According to our source, the film’s working title is reportedly The Immortal Man. Filming will continue in Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, and Leeds, England.
The film also stars Rebecca Ferguson, Keoghan, Roth, and Jay Lycurgo. Rundle, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, and Ian Peck will all reprise their roles in the movie.
In a recent interview, Knight said, “I’m thrilled to see the cameras rolling on this new chapter of the Peaky Blinders story, set during World War II. The country is at war, and so, of course, are our Peaky Blinders.”
“When I first directed Peaky Blinders over 10 years ago, we didn’t know what the series would become, but we did know that there was something in the alchemy of the cast and the writing that felt explosive,” Harper said. “Peaky has always been a story about family — and so it’s incredibly exciting to be reuniting with Steve and Cillian to bring the movie to audiences across the world on Netflix.”
The production team includes Caryn Mandabach, Knight, Murphy, and Guy Heeley as producers. Executive producers are Harper, David Kosse, Jamie Glazebrook, Andrew Warren, and David Mason. The film will be made in partnership with BBC Film.
The Peaky Blinders movie will be released on Netflix in 2025.
