The filming is set to begin on July 31, 2024, in Los Angeles. Directed by Edwards and written by David Koepp, the upcoming movie marks a fresh take, ushering in a new Jurassic era. This fourth installment of Jurassic World sees the return of screenwriter David Koepp, renowned for his contributions to Steven Spielberg’s 1993 classic and its 1997 sequel, The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Koepp’s involvement hints at a continuation of the franchise’s legacy, promising an exciting blend of storytelling expertise and nostalgic elements.

The Jurassic franchise is a vital part of Universal’s film history. The 1993 original movie, which redefined special effects, has had a lasting impact on pop culture. Over three decades, six movies in the franchise have earned over $6 billion worldwide.

The film is scheduled to hit theaters on July 2, 2025, by Universal Pictures.
