‘Gran Turismo: Based on a True Story’ VOD Release Date Revealed

The Video on Demand (VOD) release date for ‘Gran Turismo: Based on a True Story‘ has been revealed. The film will be available for purchase or rent on digital HD platforms including Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Vudu, and Google Play Movies & TV on October 17, 2023. You can pre-order now on Amazon.

Directed by Neill Blomkamp from a screenplay by Jason Hall and Zach Baylin. The cast of ‘Gran Turismo’ includes Archie Madekwe as Jann Mardenborough, an aspiring teenage driver; David Harbour as Jack Salter, Jann’s trainer; Orlando Bloom as Danny Moore, a motorsport marketing executive (based on GT Academy founder Darren Cox); Darren Barnet as Matty Davis, a top GT Academy driver threatened by Jann’s success; Djimon Hounsou as Steve Mardenborough, Jann’s father; Geri Halliwell as Lesley Mardenborough, Jann’s mother; Daniel Puig as Cai Mardenborough, Jann’s brother; Josha Stradowski as Nicholas Capa, a rival driver; Thomas Kretschmann; Maeve Courtier-Lilley; Richard Cambridge as Felix; Emelia Hartford; Pepe Barroso; Sang Heon Lee; Max Mundt; Mariano González; Harki Bhambra; Lindsay Pattison; Théo Christine; and Nikhil Parmar.

According to the film’s plot, “Gran Turismo is based on the unbelievable true story of a team of unlikely underdogs – a struggling working-class gamer (Archie Madekwe), a failed former racecar driver (David Harbour), and an idealistic motorsport executive (Orlando Bloom). Together, they risk it all to take on the most elite sport in the world. Gran Turismo is an inspiring, thrilling, and action-packed story that proves that nothing is impossible when you’re fueled from within.“
