A reboot of ‘The Office‘ by its original creator, Greg Daniels, is in the works and is expected to start after the strike ends.
Recently, Puck reported that there will be many exciting announcements about new projects and castings that were held back for various reasons. For example, Daniels is rebooting ‘The Office,’ and Dana Walden of Disney can now reveal Ryan Murphy’s return from Netflix. A bunch of popular movie scripts will also be announced, bringing the industry back to normal.
The WGA and AMPTP have reached a tentative deal on a new contract. The WGA stated, “We can say, with great pride, that this deal is exceptional — with meaningful gains and protections for writers in every sector of the membership.”
SAG-AFTRA has sent congratulations to the WGA on reaching a tentative deal with the AMPTP. They add that they “continue to urge the studio CEOs and the AMPTP to return to the table and make the fair deal that our SAG members deserve and demand.”
‘The Office’ is a mockumentary-style American sitcom that aired on NBC from March 24, 2005, to May 16, 2013. Created by Greg Daniels, it’s based on the British series of the same name by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. Set in the Scranton, Pennsylvania, branch of Dunder Mifflin Paper Company, the show depicts the daily lives and interactions of office employees.
