Hayley Atwell is reportedly reprising her MCU role as Agent Carter in Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday.

Atwell last appeared in Avengers: Endgame and later voiced Agent Peggy Carter in What If…? Seasons 1 and 2. She also appeared in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as Captain Carter. How Marvel plans to bring back Agent Carter is currently unknown. Additionally, Chris Evans is also returning in the film.

Recently, Deadline reported that Marvel Studios considered making a stand-alone movie centered on Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers and Hayley Atwell’s Agent Carter. However, the studio couldn’t find the right story.

‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Production Designer Reveals 80% of Scenes Filmed on Physical Sets Instead of Blue Screen

Maxblizz reported that Evans will play the role of Nomad, an alternate identity of the original Captain America, Steve Rogers, in Doomsday.

Avengers: Doomsday Cast Details:

In Avengers: Doomsday, Robert Downey Jr. will play the role of Doctor Doom, Evans as an Nomad, Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, Wyatt Russell as US Agent, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Wonder Man.

Avengers: Doomsday will be a multiverse film—because it’s the conclusion of the Multiverse Saga. The plot of Avengers: Doomsday follows Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, who isn’t truly evil; he believes he is trying to save the multiverse from incursions. In his twisted logic, the only way for the multiverse to survive is to unify all universes in one place—Battleworld—under his rule. He sees this as the sole path to ensuring survival for everyone.

Filming for Avengers: Doomsday is set to begin in March 2025, with the Russo Brothers directing and Stephen McFeely writing the script. Unusually for Marvel, the Russo Brothers will also produce both films through their AGBO banner.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released on May 1, 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars will be released on May 7, 2027.

Atwell is repped by CAA, Entertainment 360, Hamilton Hodell, Ziffren Brittenham and JSSK.
