HBO has dropped the first-look glimpse for ‘The Last of Us‘ Season 2 and confirmed that it is coming to Max in 2025. The footage shows Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey returning as Joel and Ellie, with the first look at Gabriel Luna as Tommy, Jeffrey Wright as Isaac, Isabela Merced as Dina, Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, and Catherine O’Hara. The second season, based on the 2020 game The Last of Us Part II developed by Naughty Dog, follows Joel (Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) in the aftermath of the first season and introduces Abby (Kaitlyn Dever). Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann serve as showrunners.
In Season 2, Pascal stars as Joel Miller, with Ramsey as Ellie, Luna as Tommy, Rutina Wesley as Maria, Dever as Abby, Young Mazino as Jesse, Merced as Dina, Danny Ramirez as Manny, Ariela Barer as Mel, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, Spencer Lord as Owen, O’Hara in an undisclosed guest role, and Jeffrey Wright as Isaac Dixon.
Craig Mazin has confirmed that ‘The Last of Us’ Season 2 will be divided into two seasons. He said, “The show won’t conclude with Season 2 unless viewers don’t watch it and it gets canceled.”
‘The Last of Us’ Season 2 will contain 7 episodes and premiere on HBO in early 2025.
