Henry Cavill (Man of Steel, Justice League) has been spotted filming an action scene for Chad Stahelski‘s upcoming Highlander reboot in London near St. Paul’s Cathedral.
On X, user UnBoxPHD has shared images of the crew filming an action sequence featuring Cavill on a motorcycle. See the images below.
Most recently, Dave Bautista, who plays the villain Kurgan, was spotted filming a fight scene with Cavill’s Connor MacLeod.
In a recent interview, Stahelski said, “My selling point was to [Henry Cavill], ‘Look, you’ve got a guy who’s been alive for over 500 years.’” Stahelski added, “He’s the last person in the world who wanted to be in this situation. So you get to cover quite a broad character arc there, and you get to experience someone who’s trained for over 500 years and has dabbled in many types of martial arts.”

According to Stahelski, the Highlander reboot will expand beyond the 1986 original’s Scottish setting, unfolding in modern-day New York and Hong Kong. Cavill’s MacLeod is described as a master swordsman who has trained in martial arts for over 500 years.
The original Highlander was released in 1986 and directed by Russell Mulcahy. It starred Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery, and Clancy Brown, later becoming a cult hit that spawned sequels and a television series.
The film stars Cavill as Connor MacLeod, alongside Russell Crowe as Juan Sánchez-Villalobos Ramírez, Dave Bautista as the Kurgan, Karen Gillan as Heather MacLeod, Djimon Hounsou as Sunda Kastagir, Drew McIntyre as Angus MacLeod, and Jeremy Irons as the leader of the Watchers, with additional cast members including Marisa Abela, Max Zhang, Siobhán Cullen, Jeon Jong-seo, Nassim Lyes, and Kevin McKidd.
Highlander will be released by Amazon MGM Studios under the United Artists banner in theaters in 2026.
