A24 has released the first official trailer for ‘Heretic,’ a spine-chilling psychological horror film from Scott Beck and Bryan Woods. Watch the trailer below.
From writer/directors Scott Beck and Bryan Woods and stars Hugh Grant (Wonka, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves), Sophie Thatcher (The Boogeyman, Yellowjackets), and Chloe East (Generation, Next Level).
The film follows Grant as a man who is visited by two young Mormon missionaries (East and Thatcher) who he then puts through an intense series of psychological games.
In the trailer, Grant says, “I won’t keep you if you wish to leave, but I want you to choose which door to go through based on your faith.”
The cast also includes Elle McKinnon, River Codack, Carolyn Adair, Stephanie Lavigne, and Elle Young.
Filming took place in Vancouver from October 3 to November 16, 2023, during the SAG-AFTRA strike. The film is produced by Stacey Sher, Scott Beck, Bryan Woods, and Julia Glausi. Production companies involved include A24, Beck/Woods, Catchlight Studios, and Shiny Penny.
‘Heretic’ is scheduled to theaters in the United States on November 15, 2024, by A24.
