‘Housekeeping for Beginners’ VOD Release Date Revealed

The VOD release date for ‘Housekeeping for Beginners‘ has been revealed. The film will be available to buy or rent on digital HD platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Vudu, iTunes, and Google Play Movies & TV on May 7, 2024.

The film, written and directed by Goran Stolevski, stars Anamaria Marinca as Dita, Alina Serban as Suada, Samson Selim as Ali, Vladimir Tintor as Toni, Mia Mustafi as Vanesa, Dżada Selim as Mia, Sara Klimoska as Elena, Rozafa Celaj as Flora, and Ajse Useini as Teuta.

From acclaimed filmmaker Goran Stolevski comes a story exploring the universal truths of family, both the ones we’re born into and the ones we find for ourselves. Dita never wanted to be a mother, but circumstances force her to raise her girlfriend’s two daughters, tiny troublemaker Mia and rebellious teen Vanesa. A battle of wills ensues as the three continue to butt heads and become an unlikely family that must fight to stay together.

Produced by Blerta Basholli, Marija Dimitrova, Beata Rzezniczek, Klaudia Smieja, Milan Stojanovic, and Anikca Tilic, the film is a collaborative effort between production companies List Production, Madants, Kinorama, Sense Productions, Industria Film, Film i Väst, Common Ground, Causeway Films, and Tango Entertainment. Distributed by Focus Features in the United States, Maslow Entertainment in Australia, and Universal Pictures internationally.

The film premiered at the 80th Venice International Film Festival, winning the Queer Lion. It was Macedonia’s entry for Best International Feature Film at the 96th Academy Awards. Released in the United States on April 5, 2024.
