‘I Am Groot‘ director Kirsten Lepore is interested in directing a new ‘Guardians of the Galaxy‘ movie. Future ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Film Could Be Directed by ‘I Am Groot’ Director Kirsten Lepore
In an interview with THR following the release of ‘I Am Groot’ season 2 on Disney+, director Kirsten Lepore expressed her interest in potentially directing a ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ film. She said, “Yeah, I’m open to it, for sure.” Lepore added, “Years ago, I was like, ‘I definitely want to do live-action!’ I was trying to move into live-action, and now I think I’m more at peace. I don’t even want to say ‘at peace’ because I’m not settling. I love animation so much. I think I better understand what I bring to animation because it does take a really specific type of person to direct it. I’ve been doing it for so long, and I feel very comfortable in that space, and I feel good at it. So I really enjoy working in animation, and I would be totally happy to work in animation for the rest of my life, but I would also be very curious to experiment with live-action.”
Lepore reveals that she is also interested in developing a series of shorts for Baby Rocket.

James Gunn Confirms ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ Will Be His Last Film with the Team
When a fan asked James Gunn on Threads if he would make a fourth Guardians of the Galaxy movie, he kindly declined, saying, “I think I’ll stick with just three, sorry.”
According to The Direct, James Gunn thinks there might be another movie in the Guardians franchise, but it won’t be called “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 4.” He explained, “I don’t think there will ever be a ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 4.’ There’s many reasons this group will not be back. There could be more ‘Guardians’ movies, but it won’t be with this group.”
