The Guardians of the Galaxy are officially splitting up in volume 3, and we may see a new Guardians of the Galaxy team in the future. The film has two post-credit scenes: one in which Rocket and Groot’s new Guardians are on a desert planet, and another in which Peter Quill and his grandfather are having breakfast together on Earth and discussing mowing lawns. The second post-credits scene shows Peter Quill and his grandfather together on Earth and discussing mowing lawns on Earth.
The final card of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 shows “The Legendary Star-Lord will return.”
How does Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 End?
At the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the Guardians reunite in a bar on Knowhere and decide to split up. Peter Quill decides to return to Earth and reunite with his grandfather; Gamora rejoins the Ravagers; and Drax, along with Nebula, takes care of the kids they rescued from the High Evolutionary Base. Rocket and Groot form a new team with Adam Warlock, Cosmo, Phyla-Vell, and Kraglin. While they leave, Groot says, “I love you guys.”
