Iman Vellani attended the 2024 Gold Gala on Saturday, May 11, 2024, in Los Angeles, California.
Vellani was spotted on the red carpet wearing the Artists4Ceasefire red ceasefire pin, along with a tiny handbag.
Also, Vellani and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan were seen walking the GoldGala red carpet together.
The stars Cynthia Erivo, Halsey, Padma Lakshmi, Prabal Gurung, Jeannie Mai, Lucy Liu, Steven Yeun and Joana Pak, Saweetie, Lily Singh, Karrueche Tran, Jay Shetty, Towa Bird and Reneé Rapp, Lena Waithe, Margaret Cho, Xochitl Gomez, and John Cho were also attended the event.
The Gold Gala in L.A. celebrates Asian Pacific creatives and communities. Led by designer Prabal Gurung, the event honored the 2024 A100 List, recognizing the most impactful Asian Pacific changemakers of the year.
Speaking to ComicBook.com, Vellani was asked if she would voice Ms. Marvel in video games. She stated that any opportunity to portray Ms. Marvel in any form, be it in a comic book, movie, or video game, would make her happy. Vellani said, “I would never say no.” Vellani added, “No. Any opportunity to play Ms. Marvel or project myself into her in any version of a comic book movie, otherwise, I’ll be happy to.”
Vellani joined the MCU as Kamala Khan in 2022 in the miniseries ‘Ms. Marvel’ for Disney+. Following this, she appeared in ‘The Marvels‘ movie alongside Brie Larson and Teyonah Parris. Additionally, she has co-written two Ms. Marvel limited series.
