Neon released the first trailer for the horror movie ‘Immaculate,’ starring Sydney Sweeney and Alvaro Morte. In the film, Cecilia (played by Sweeney) takes a role at a fancy convent in the Italian countryside, but her supposedly perfect new home hides unsettling secrets.
What is the Plot of ‘Immaculate’?
Sydney Sweeney stars as Cecilia, an American nun of devout faith, embarking on a new journey in a remote convent in the picturesque Italian countryside. Cecilia’s warm welcome quickly devolves into a nightmare as it becomes clear her new home harbors a sinister secret and unspeakable horrors.
Directed by Michael Mohan from a screenplay by Andrew Lobel. The film also stars Benedetta Porcaroli (Baby), and Dora Romano (The Hand of God). Recently, Sweeney and Morte were spotted on the set of ‘Immaculate’. Watch the trailer below.
Sweeney worked with producer David Bernad from Middle Child Pictures to develop the project, building on their collaboration in ‘The White Lotus.’ Producers also included Jonathan Davino for Sweeney’s Fifty-Fifty Films, and Teddy Schwarzman and Michael Heimler for Black Bear, which fully financed the project and managed international sales rights. Executive producers are Black Bear’s John Friedberg and Christopher Casanova, alongside Will Greenfield.
