What Is The Runtime Of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny?
During the 2023 Star Wars Celebration event, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy revealed to Collider’s Editor-in-Chief Steve Weintraub that Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is the longest film in the iconic action-adventure franchise and the runtime is around 2 hours and 22 minutes.
She said, “It’s around two hours and 22-23 minutes. I will say that the early movies were shorter. They were under two hours and 15 minutes. And we talked about that quite a bit… But as you know, with runtime, it’s all about how you feel, right? So, if you’re sitting in a movie, and it feels long… The reason this is interesting is because long-form storytelling is something that we like in the streaming space. So, I think it might be that it’s some kind of carryover from that. But God knows, this year there were so many three hour-plus movies that I felt I wasn’t getting any work done, trying to see them!”
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is directed by James Mangold, who co-wrote it with Jez Butterworth, John-Henry Butterworth, and David Koepp. The film stars Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones, Phoebe Waller-Bridge as Helena Shaw, Mads Mikkelsen as Jürgen Voller, Antonio Banderas as Renaldo, John Rhys-Davies as Sallah, Shaunette Renée Wilson as Mason, Thomas Kretschmann as Colonel Weber, Toby Jones as Basil Shaw, Boyd Holbrook as Klaber, Ethann Isidore, and Olivier Richters. The exclusive trailer was most recently released and it looks incredible.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will hit theaters on June 30, 2023.
