Following the success of Marvel’s Thunderbolts*, Marvel Studios is in talks with Jake Schreier to direct the upcoming X-Men reboot movie.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel is actively searching for a director for X-Men, and the studio is currently in discussions with Schreier, especially after Thunderbolts* received some of the best reviews for the MCU in recent years.

Recently, Jeff Sneider’s The InSneider report revealed that Trinity Jo-Li Bliss is rumored to be in contention for the role of Jubilee in the upcoming X-Men reboot.
Michael Lesslie (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes) is penning the script for the currently untitled X-Men movie. Industry insider Daniel Richtman revealed that the latest draft of the film reportedly features Mr. Sinister as the main villain. Filming is expected to begin after Avengers: Secret Wars.
We previously reported that the Russo Brothers have reportedly signed a new deal with Marvel Studios to oversee additional projects for the next saga. This also includes the X-Men reboot movie.
During the Disney APAC Content Showcase, Marvel President Kevin Feige spoke about the future of the X-Men, calling their return to Marvel Studios “a dream come true.”
Feige said, “I think you will see that continue in our next few movies with some X-Men players that you might recognize.” He added, “Right after that, the whole story of Secret Wars really leads us into a new age of mutants and of the X-Men. Again, [it’s] one of those dreams come true. We finally have the X-Men back.”
Thunderbolts* is now playing in theaters and has received an 88% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
