Marvel Studios is reportedly eyeing Javon Walton (The Umbrella Academy, Under the Bridge) to play a role in the Disney+ Vision series, scheduled for 2026.
According to insider Daniel Richtman in his latest Patreon post, “Marvel is reportedly considering Javon Walton to portray a teen in the Vision series. It’s unclear whether he’ll play an older Tommy Shepherd (Speed) or Vision’s son, Vin.”
Recently, Terry Matalas joined the project to develop the show for Disney+. Paul Bettany will reprise his role as White Vision, with the series “taking place after the events of WandaVision as White Vision presumably explores his new purpose in life.” The series will come under the Marvel Television banner.
In a 2022 interview with Entertainment Weekly, Bettany said, “At the end of WandaVision, you see Vision fly off and that’s a loose end.” Bettany added, “And Kevin Feige (president of Marvel Studios) is a man who doesn’t really allow loose ends. So I assume at some point I will be putting on my tights and cloak for another outing, but I don’t know when that might be.”
Previously, the show was titled ‘Vision Quest,’ which was developed under ‘WandaVision’ creator Jac Schaeffer. But, it has been dropped, and the reason is unknown yet. Schaeffer has developed a separate ‘WandaVision’ spinoff, ‘Agatha All Along,’ starring Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness. It is set to premiere on September 18, 2024, with two episodes on Disney+.
Filming is scheduled to begin in 2025, with Vision set to premiere on Disney+ in 2026.
