Warner Bros. Pictures reportedly had multiple finales for the upcoming Joker: Folie à Deux, starring Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck / Joker and Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn. Joker: Folie à Deux will be released in theaters on October 4, 2024.
Why Did Warner Bros. Filmed Joker: Folie à Deux Multiple Endings?
According to CBR, Joker: Folie à Deux has multiple conclusions and has yet to decide on one. Why did they film multiple endings for Folie à Deux? The reason might be that they are adding characters for upcoming DC films, or since the release date of “The Batman: Part 2” was recently revealed, in order to include Batman in Folie à Deux, they might film alternate endings for the film.
The Joker sequel will be a musical. The term “folie à deux” refers to an identical or similar mental illness affecting two people. The first look was revealed on Feb. 15, and it features Joaquin Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck and Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn. The film is reportedly heavily inspired by Liza Minelli musicals, including “Cabaret,” “That’s Entertainment!” and “New York, New York.”
Directed by Todd Phillips from a screenplay he co-wrote with Scott Silver. Zazie Beetz, Brendan Gleeson and Catherine Keener was the only cast member announced thus far, with Phoenix and Gaga. Additional cast members will be revealed soon. Produced by Warner Bros. Pictures, Village Roadshow Pictures, DC Studios, Bron Creative and Joint Effort, and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Joker: Folie à Deux will hit theaters on October 4, 2024.
