Jonathan Majors (Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Creed III) was reportedly arrested in New York on charges of strangulation, assault, and harassment this weekend. His representative claims that “he’s done nothing wrong. We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up.“
According to THR, on Saturday, the New York Police Department said in a statement that Jonathan Majors was arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman during a domestic dispute. Also, the police said they responded to a 911 call at an apartment in Chelsea where a 33-year-old male was involved in a domestic dispute with a 30-year-old female.
In the statement, it says, “The victim informed police she was assaulted. Officers placed the 33-year-old male into custody without incident.”
According to police, the woman suffered minor injuries to her head and neck and was taken to the hospital. His relationship with the woman was described only as “domestic.”
Police arrested Majors on charges of strangulation, assault, and harassment. At present, he is not in police custody.
Jonathan Majors’ two films, Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” and “Creed III,” debuted at #1 at the domestic and global box office in 2023.
Majors has a continued lineup of future MCU projects, including two Avengers films. He plays the role of Kang the Conqueror. The Wrap confirmed NYPD arrest of the actor was in response to a “domestic dispute,” and that Majors went “into custody without incident.”
