Josh Hartnett, known for his roles in “Oppenheimer” and “Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre,” and Saleka Shyamalan, an American R&B singer-songwriter, will be starring in M. Night Shyamalan‘s upcoming film. The movie is described as a “psychological thriller set at a concert.“
According to Film Updates, the film, previously titled “Trap” and currently shooting under the codename “Good Grades,” is now being filmed in Canada. Shyamalan, who funds his films independently, has received approval from SAG-AFTRA to continue production during the actors’ strike.
In the psychological thriller, Saleka plays a pop star whose concert is central to the story, while Josh plays a father who takes his child to the concert and gets unwittingly caught up in the events.
Hartnett recently appeared in Guy Ritchie’s “Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre.” In January 2022, he played the role of Ernest Lawrence in Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer.” Furthermore, in July 2022, he became a part of the sixth season of “Black Mirror.”
Saleka made her acting debut after contributing original songs for her father, M. Night Shyamalan. She recorded songs for his 2021 film “Old” and also for his Apple TV+ series “Servant.”
The release date for the film is yet to be announced (TBA).
