Kathryn Newton (Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania) has been cast in the Ready or Not sequel alongside Samara Weaving.
This will be the second collaboration between Newton and Radio Silence after Abigail (2024). The film is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Scream franchise). Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy, who wrote Ready or Not, are also involved in writing this follow-up.

Ready or Not 2 serves as a spiritual successor to the 2019 horror-thriller Ready or Not, which grossed nearly $58 million globally. Weaving will reprise her role as Grace Le Domas.
In the first film, Grace (Weaving) couldn’t be happier after she marries the man of her dreams at his family’s luxurious estate. There’s just one catch – she must now hide from midnight until dawn while her new in-laws hunt her down with guns, crossbows, and other weapons. As Grace desperately tries to survive the night, she soon finds a way to turn the tables on her not-so-lovable relatives.
Searchlight VP Richard Ruiz and Creative Executive Cornelia Burleigh are managing the project and report to studio heads DanTram Nguyen and Katie Goodson-Thomas.
The producers are Tripp Vinson, James Vanderbilt, Bradley J. Fischer, and William Sherak. Executive producers include Chad Villella, Tara Farney, Greg Denny, Guy Busick, and R. Christopher Murphy.
Newton ies best known for her role as Louise Brooks in the Emmy-winning HBO series Big Little Lies. She later starred in Freaky and appeared in Lisa Frankenstein, The Society, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, and Blockers.
The release date for Ready or Not 2 is yet to be announced (TBA).
