‘Knights of the Zodiac’ is coming to digital platforms on June 2023
The release date for ‘Knights of the Zodiac‘ on digital platforms has been revealed. The film will be released on digital platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Vudu, and Google Play Movies & TV on June 27, 2023.
The story follows Seiya (played by Mackenyu), a headstrong street teen on a quest to find his abducted sister. After unintentionally accessing mystical powers during a fight, Seiya discovers a world of warring saints, ancient magical training, and a reincarnated goddess in need of his protection. To survive, he must embrace his destiny and make significant sacrifices to claim his rightful place among the Knights of the Zodiac. Read our full review.
Knights of the Zodiac is directed by Tomek Bagiński from a screenplay by Josh Campbell, Matt Stuecken, and Kiel Murray, based on the manga Saint Seiya by Masami Kurumada. The film stars Mackenyu, Famke Janssen, Madison Iseman, Diego Tinoco, Mark Dacascos, Nick Stahl, and Sean Bean.
Unfortunately, ‘Knights of the Zodiac’ faced a disappointing release on its theatrical run. The film was released in theaters on May 12, 2023, but received overwhelmingly negative reviews from critics and audiences. With a production cost of $60 million, it only managed to gross $5.3 million worldwide, making it a significant box-office disappointment.
