Kristen Stewart (Love Lies Bleeding) and Oscar Isaac (Moon Knight) are confirmed to star in a vampire thriller directed by Panos Cosmatos. The title is ‘Flesh of the Gods,’ based on a story by Cosmatos and Andrew Kevin Walker.
Directed by Cosmatos, the filmmaker best known for his hallucinatory 2018 horror movie Mandy, from a screenplay by Walker, best known as the screenwriter behind the 1990s classic Se7en. Filming is set to begin later this year.
What is the Plot of ‘Flesh of the Gods’ Film?
According to the plot of ‘Flesh of the Gods,’ a married couple, Raoul (Isaac) and Alex (Stewart) descend each evening from their luxury skyscraper condo and head into an electric nighttime realm of 80’s LA. When they cross paths with the mysterious and enigmatic woman and her hard-partying cabal, Raoul and Alex are seduced into a glamorous, surrealistic world of hedonism, thrills, and violence.
In a statement, Cosmatos said, “Like Los Angeles itself, Flesh of the Gods inhabits the liminal realm between fantasy and nightmare.” Cosmatos added, “Both propulsive and hypnotic, Flesh will take you on a hot rod joy ride deep into the glittering heart of hell.”
McKay said, “We think it’s wildly commercial and wildly artful. Our ambitions are to make a movie that ripples through popular culture, fashion, music, and film.”
Produced by Adam McKay and Betsy Koch through their production company, Hyperobject Industries. Also, Isaac is producing alongside his partner Gena Konstantinakos through their banner, Mad Gene Media.
CAA and WME will handle domestic rights sales, and XYZ Films will handle international sales at this year’s Marché du Film at Cannes.
