Adam McKay is an American film and television director, producer, and screenwriter. He was born on April 17, 1968, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

McKay began his career as a writer for “Saturday Night Live” and went on to become a founding member of the comedy website Funny or Die. He has directed and co-written several successful comedy films, including “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” (2004), “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” (2006), and “Step Brothers” (2008), among others.
