Lewis Pullman is confirmed as Sentry in Marvel’s ‘Thunderbolts,’ according to Deadline, and Geraldine Viswanathan has replaced Ayo Edebiri, originally cast as Erin.
Edebiri is leaving ‘Thunderbolts’ due to scheduling conflicts after production delays caused by last year’s dual WGA and SAG AFTRA strikes. On Instagram, Geraldine expressed gratitude to Edebiri, saying, “Thank you to my friend Ayo Edebiri for being too booked.”
The filming for ‘Thunderbolts’ begins in Atlanta’s Trilith Studios and in New York in March 2024. Directed by Jake Schreier from a script written by Lee Sung Jin and Eric Pearson. The plot details are kept secret in the Marvel database. Also, Schreier has already confirmed that the ‘Thunderbolts’ will consist of individuals who share a common history of past trauma.
‘Thunderbolts’ stars Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Wyatt Russell as John Walker/U.S. Agent, Olga Kurylenko as Antonia Dreykov/Taskmaster, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr/Ghost, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Harrison Ford as President Thaddeus Ross, and Sadie Sink as Songbird. Laurence Fishburne and Rachel Weisz are confirmed to reprise their roles as scientist Bill Foster and spy Melina Vostakov.
Produced by Kevin Feige, Brian Chapek, Matthew Jenkins, and David J. Grant. Andrew Droz Palermo replaces Steve Yedlin as the cinematographer for ‘Thunderbolts’ due to scheduling conflicts.
‘Thunderbolts’ hits theaters on May 2, 2025.
