Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom will have a masked female companion in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie.
In the latest episode of The Hot Mic, Jeff Sneider revealed that Doctor Doom reportedly has a masked female sidekick in Avengers: Doomsday, said to be a female version of Doctor Doom.
According to insider James Mack, Lucia von Bardas will be Doctor Doom’s female sidekick in Avengers: Doomsday. In Marvel Comics, Lucia von Bardas was a Latverian politician who served as the Prime Minister under Dr. Victor von Doom, the monarch and supreme leader of the Kingdom of Latveria. She handled day-to-day political affairs within the European nation.
She was later cybernetically enhanced, gaining superhuman strength, durability, energy weapons, and advanced technology, often resembling Doom’s armor and tech.
We previously reported that Avengers: Doomsday will feature multiple Doctor Doom variants. At least two of these variants are female: one wears a purple cloak with a golden mask, while another wears a gold cloak with a mask. A male Doom variant will also appear in the film.
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.
