The VOD release date for Maggie Gyllenhaal’s The Bride has been revealed.
The film will be available to buy or rent on digital HD platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Vudu, and Google Play Movies starting April 7, 2026.

Here are the plot details for The Bride:
A lonely Frank (Christian Bale) travels to 1930s Chicago to ask groundbreaking scientist Dr. Euphronious (five-time Oscar nominee Annette Bening) to create a companion for him. The two revive a murdered young woman, and the Bride (Jessie Buckley) is born. What ensues is beyond anything either of them imagined: murder, possession, a radical cultural movement, and outlaw lovers caught in a wild and combustible romance.
Written and directed by Gyllenhaal, the film takes inspiration from the 1935 classic Bride of Frankenstein, which was originally based on Mary Shelley’s 1818 novel Frankenstein.
