Marvel Studios is working to bring Elizabeth Olsen back to the MCU following her last appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
According to insider @MyTimeToShineH, Marvel Studios has “big plans” for Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch in the MCU. These include a solo film, two spin-off series from WandaVision, a leading role in the next two Avengers sequels (Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars), and a key role in the Mutant Saga.
Speaking to FM104, Olsen said that her MCU character was well utilized in the films, and she is open to returning.
Olsen said, “It’s a character that I love returning to when there’s a way to use her well, and I think I’ve been lucky that, from the start, I was utilized effectively.” She added, “I think people didn’t know what to do with me for a while… but if there’s a good way to use her, I’m always happy to come back.”
Recently, Alex Perez from The Cosmic Circus reported that Marvel Studios’ planned Scarlet Witch project is still in “the conceptual stage.”
In a recent interview with Variety, Jac Schaeffer, showrunner of WandaVision and the spinoff series Agatha All Along, was asked about the shooting schedule for the Scarlet Witch movie. She did not confirm that a solo film is in the works.
Schaeffer said, “I am just here hoping for a Scarlet Witch movie! We all want Wanda, so fingers crossed that’s a thing that happens.”
There is a possibility that the Scarlet Witch may appear in the upcoming Vision Quest series, which is currently in development.
