A new Thor project is in development at Marvel Studios.
According to insider Daniel Richtman in a post on his Patreon, Marvel Studios is reportedly developing a new project titled Thor Quest. Although specific details about the project—whether it is a movie or a TV show—are currently unknown.
There are also reports that Thor 5 is in the works with Marvel Studios, and the studio wants to release the film as part of the MCU’s next saga. Taika Waititi will not return to direct. I heard that Chris Hemsworth is pushing for Sam Hargrave, the director of Extraction, to take over.

Recently, insider Alex Perez (via The Cosmic Circus) revealed that the upcoming Thor project will include Valhalla, the afterlife for fallen warriors. The Thor Corps will appear, featuring different versions of Thor from various universes. Hercules and Ares will also have major roles, either as rivals or allies.
Valhalla will be revisited in the story, where Thor will gain extraordinary new abilities. Beta Ray Bill and the Thor Corps will be introduced through multiversal events, and Amora the Enchantress will make an appearance, tying into Secret Wars.
Hemsworth’s Thor will next appear in Avengers: Doomsday, which is now in production in the U.K. Leaked plot details reveal that in Doomsday, Gorr’s daughter, Love (introduced in Thor: Love and Thunder), is now being raised by Thor. She will be the first to sense an incoming cosmic threat through her connection to Eternity, and Thor will join the Avengers. He will also have a new costume that highlights Hemsworth’s arms and shoulders.
Avengers: Doomsday will be released in theaters across the United States on December 18, 2026.
