Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday Reshoots Begin as Teyonah Parris Spotted on Set Filming New Scenes

Following the wrap of Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday, reshoots have begun during the post-production stage. Teyonah Parris has reportedly started filming her scenes for Doomsday.

According to insider James Mack, Parris was spotted on set for the reshoots. She will reprise her role as Monica Rambeau, who first appeared in WandaVision and later in The Marvels.

At the end of The Marvels, Parris’ Monica Rambeau was trapped in the X-Men universe after sealing a rift between realities. As per reports, Monica Rambeau has a larger story role than Magneto, Cyclops, or Thor in Doomsday, though Thor will have more screen appearances.

In a major plot leak, it was reported that in Doomsday, Sam Wilson, Thor, Captain Marvel, Shang-Chi, Ant-Man (Scott Lang), Jennifer Walters, Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Bob, Bruce Banner, Shuri, M’Baku, Namor, and the Fantastic Four are tasked with resolving the incursion between two worlds, rescuing Monica Rambeau, and protecting Loki at the Citadel after discovering the TVA and Doctor Doom’s plan.

Meanwhile, John Walker, Ghost, and Red Guardian remain on Earth-616 with other Avengers to protect the planet from an unknown invasion. The remaining Thunderbolts join forces with Wakanda, Talokan, and the sorcerers led by Wong to help defend Earth.

Doctor Doom travels to the universe where Monica Rambeau is trapped, aiming to kill that universe’s anchor, Charles Xavier. He will have the ability to control machines and robots through runes, allowing him to take command of the Sentinels in the X-Universe.

Doomsday is directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron. The film features cinematography by Newton Thomas Sigel (Bohemian Rhapsody, X-Men: Days of Future Past) and production design by Kasra Farahani.

Ian McKellen as Magneto, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, and Channing Tatum as Gambit. Pascal as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (Human Torch), Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (The Thing), and Lewis Pullman as Sentry.
