Marvel Studios is about to say goodbye to two great fan-favorite characters, and some fans could be disappointed.
It has already been reported that the opening scene of Avengers: Doomsday will take place in Tobey Maguire‘s Spider-Man universe, where Maguire’s Spider-Man and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine fight each other during a multiverse incursion. This will have a tragic ending.
According to scooper MyTimeToShineH, “Tobey’s Spidey and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine both die at the beginning of Avengers: Doomsday.”
Following that, another scooper, MAJESTIC, has revealed that while both characters die in the opening sequence, some characters will be revived in Avengers: Secret Wars and play a leading role.
We have already reported that Maguire’s Spider-Man will be wearing a CGI suit while filming Avengers: Doomsday and will have a short beard, similar to Ultimate Spider-Man.
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.

“Doctor Doom has officially arrived on the Marvel Cinematic Universe stage. This villain, a master of cutting-edge science and powerful magic, will unleash a cascading crisis across the multiverse. Marvel’s most iconic actor, Robert Downey Jr., also returns as Doctor Doom!”
