Marvel’s Blade is finally moving forward with production.
According to reports, Marvel President Kevin Feige and Mahershala Ali, who is set to play Blade, are happy with the finalized script. Michael Green and Eric Pearson have written the script.

Marvel Studios is now eyeing John Wick director Chad Stahelski to helm the Blade movie. Discussions are ongoing with Stahelski, and a decision will be finalized soon. Finally, Marvel has found the story they want to tell for Blade.
In the film, Ali plays the role of Eric Brooks/Blade, with Delroy Lindo as Deacon Frost, John West Jr. as DEE, Mia Goth, and Milan Ray. It has been reported that Goth is rumored to play Dracula’s daughter, Lilith Drake.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ali said, he was “sincerely encouraged in terms of where things are at and who’s on board and who’s leading the way as far as the writing of the script and the directing and all that.”
Blade was announced at the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con, but it has had many problems. The movie changed directors several times, including Bassam Tariq and Yann Demange. The script was also rewritten many times. It was supposed to come out on November 7, 2025, but Disney removed it from the schedule, and it may not release this year.
The film will be produced by Feige, Eric Hauserman Carroll, Louis D’Esposito, and Bassam Tariq.
Marvel will announce the official release date for Blade soon.
