Every major action sequence is going to change in Marvel’s ‘Captain America: Brave New World‘ during the reshoots. Despite receiving a lot of negative feedback during the screen testing, Marvel has hired Matthew Orton to modify the script.
How Long Do ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ Reshoots Take Place?
The reshoots are currently happening in Atlanta, Georgia. According to The Hollywood Reporter, ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ reshoots will run for 22 days, with Giancarlo Esposito set to play an undisclosed villain. His character in the film is described as “an antagonistic agent of chaos.”
The InSneider reports that ‘Brave New World’ is currently undergoing its first round of reshoots, with more planned for later this year. “From what I’ve heard, it’s going to take a lot more than 22 days to fix everything that’s wrong with this movie.”

Marvel has been continuously going through multiple reshoots in recent films. A major reshoot was faced for 2022’s ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,’ which lasted six weeks, and for 2023’s ‘The Marvels‘. An insider says “Brave New World will cost much less than ‘The Marvels,’ which is $274.8 million.”
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Anthony Mackie describes ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ as ‘a clear reset’. Mackie said, “This movie is a clear reset. It really reestablishes the idea of what this universe is and what this universe is going to be.” Mackie added, “I think with these movies, you’re getting a clear, new branding of what Marvel is headed towards the same way they did with Captain America: The Winter Soldier.”
Directed by Julius Onah from a screenplay by Malcolm Spellman, Dalan Musson, and Orton. The film stars Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America, Danny Ramirez as Joaquín Torres/Falcon, Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns/Leader, Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, Harrison Ford as President Thaddeus Ross, Liv Tyler as Betty Ross, Shira Haas as Ruth Bat-Seraph/Sabra, and Xosha Roquemore.
