The 2025 Disney upfront presentation revealed the first look at upcoming Marvel Television shows: Vision Quest, X-Men ‘97 Season 2, Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2, and Wonder Man.
The big one — Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, which is now in production in New York City — got its first teaser. Krysten Ritter, who played Jessica Jones on Netflix’s 2017 Marvel crossover show The Defenders, is returning in Season 2 along with Charlie Cox‘s Daredevil.
The Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 teaser, shown at the 2025 Disney upfront, features a first look at Ritter’s Jessica Jones and footage of Cox’s Daredevil, Jon Bernthal‘s The Punisher, and Vincent D’Onofrio‘s Kingpin.
During the presentation, Ritter shared her excitement about joining the MCU and returning as Jessica Jones in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.

Ritter said, “It’s so great to be back, returning to Jessica after three seasons and The Defenders, and now joining the MCU.” Ritter added, “I’m so excited to bring back this iconic character, and without giving too much away, there is much more in store for Jessica Jones. This is going to be an incredible season!”
Speaking to THR, Cox confirmed there will be “fun cameos” in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. He also said that he won’t appear as Daredevil in Avengers: Doomsday: “I’m excited to see it, but I’m not involved in that.”
During the filming of the season in NYC, Cox and Wilson Bethel, as Daredevil and Bullseye, were spotted on set, and images were leaked online. Cox’s Daredevil is wearing his new black suit with the double-D logo on the chest. Dario Scardapane serves as showrunner, while Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead are directing episodes of Season 2.

After many years, Daredevil is returning to our screens in a brand-new original series, Daredevil: Born Again, which is a continuation of the hit Netflix series.
Daredevil: Born Again follows Matt Murdock (Cox), a blind lawyer with heightened abilities, as he fights for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk (D’Onofrio) pursues his own political ambitions in New York. When their past identities begin to resurface, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.
In Season 2, Cox returns as Matt Murdock / Daredevil, D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk / Kingpin, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Franklin “Foggy” Nelson, Bethel as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter / Bullseye, Bernthal as The Punisher, Genneya Walton as BB Urich, Clark Johnson as Cherry, and Michael Gandolfini as Daniel Blake. Recurring cast includes Matthew Lillard and Lili Taylor as a political opponent to Fisk, while guest appearances feature Susan Varon as Josie. Additionally, Sydney Parra, Annie Parisse, and James Armstrong have been cast in undisclosed roles.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 is now available on Disney+. Season 2 will consist of eight episodes and is set to premiere on Disney+ in early to mid-2026.
