Note: This article contains potential spoilers for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
The first clip from Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day was screened during Sony Pictures’ panel at CinemaCon 2026. According to reports, Sony asked attendees not to take photos or videos during the presentation.
On X, Brandon Davis, who attended the panel, shared the full description of the Spider-Man: Brand New Day clip.
The clip opens with Peter Parker (Tom Holland) sitting in a café and watching Ned (Jacob Batalon) walk in and out without noticing him.

The clip then cuts to night. Ned arrives at a party with supplies, and Peter follows him inside. Peter moves through the party holding a red cup. He takes a sip but doesn’t like the drink. As he moves away from the crowd, he finds a Chewbacca minifigure and reminisces about his time with Ned. He is holding flowers, but becomes distracted by a series of Spider-Man photos pinned to a corkboard.
Ned then comes out of the bathroom and says, “He actually saved me and my friends’ lives one time in high school.” He wants to find out who Spider-Man is—not to expose him, but to thank him. Peter plays dumb and acts surprised to learn that Ned invented the “Spidey Tracker.”
Ned has narrowed Spider-Man’s identity down to two prime suspects, showing photos of Flash Thompson (Tony Revolori) and their teacher, Mr. Harrington (Martin Starr), from the previous films. The moment gets a laugh from the audience and a grin from Peter.

MJ (Zendaya) then walks in as piano music begins to play. She introduces herself, and Peter awkwardly calls himself “Maynard, just a neighbor from across the hall.”
MJ calls him a “friendly neighbor,” nearly causing Peter to spit out his drink.
In another room, MJ tells Ned that she was offered a job, but turned it down because she doesn’t want to work for a soulless corporation. She says she feels like she is supposed to be “waiting for something,” and they toast to that.
A man then walks up and, after a brief greeting, kisses MJ intimately. The piano music returns as Peter sees it and shuts down emotionally. Realizing it’s time to leave, he walks out of the party.
The scene then fades to black before a sizzle reel begins. It features footage from the previous trailer until Spider-Man tells Damage Control agents to hold on while he loosens up and stretches before fighting them, eventually webbing one of them to a fence.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The film stars Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds. Sadie Sink joins the cast alongside Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle (a.k.a. The Punisher) and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman have also been cast in undisclosed roles, while Michael Mando returns as Mac Gargan from Spider-Man: Homecoming and Jones III has been confirmed to play the role of Tombstone. Additionally, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova will appear in the movie.
