Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man: Brand New Day has begun filming in Glasgow, Scotland. On the first day of shooting, several BTS images and footage were leaked from the set, featuring Holland in his new Spider-Man suit.
We have received a filming update about the scene in which Holland’s Spider-Man was involved. According to the leak, “The Punisher was chasing Scorpion, and Spider-Man was trying to stop him from killing his target.”

The filmed scene appears to show Spider-Man on top of a military truck tank. Inside the vehicle was The Punisher, and the police were also chasing him.
On X, a user has shared full footage of the filming featuring Spider-Man chasing the tank. Watch it below.
Recently, insider Daniel Richtman revealed that the Punisher will reportedly have new weapons to handle bigger threats in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. He will also be equipped with high-tech gear and a tank to help fight larger enemies.
Meanwhile, Michael Mando‘s Mac Gargan / Scorpion will have a significant role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
In Brand New Day, the first act features Spider-Man and the Punisher facing off against the Hulk. However, Bruce Banner’s rampage isn’t the main conflict — it’s a clue pointing to a deeper, hidden threat.
The true cause of the Hulk’s rage ties into the central plot, which involves a group of villains — including Scorpion, Ramrod, Tombstone, Boomerang, and Tarantula — all led by Mister Negative.
The Punisher wants to kill the Hulk, believing he’s too dangerous to be left alive. But Peter Parker wants to save Bruce, seeing him as a victim rather than an enemy. In the end, Spider-Man and the Punisher must team up to stop the Hulk.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, the film stars Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon also reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds. Sadie Sink joins the cast as Gwen Stacy, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle (a.k.a. the Punisher), and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Liza Colón-Zayas has been cast in an undisclosed role, and Mando is reprising his Spider-Man: Homecoming role as Mac Gargan.
The film will likely have a darker tone, inspired by The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and the Kraven’s Last Hunt storyline from the comics.
After the world has forgotten his name, Peter Parker (Holland) begins a new chapter in his life — balancing college classes, part-time work, and his responsibility as New York’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. But when a mysterious force begins to unravel the city from the inside out, Peter finds himself caught between powerful enemies, old legacies, and unexpected allies. As shadows from the past creep into his present, he must redefine what it truly means to be a hero — on his own.
The film is produced by Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Mitch Bell.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will hit theaters and IMAX on July 31, 2026.
