Marvel Studios is bringing back the Hulk in his savage form.
According to insider Daniel Richtman, a post on his X account (formerly Twitter) confirms that Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man will reportedly team up with Jon Bernthal‘s Punisher to take down Savage Hulk in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
We’ve received a leaked report that A.I.M. (Advanced Idea Mechanics), the criminal organization last seen in Iron Man 3, will be tampering with Bruce Banner’s mind to turn him into the Savage Hulk. Additionally, Viper and Silver Samurai are said to be part of their organization.
Recently, Brett Pawlak, the Director of Photography for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, shared a mood board he created for the project. It features Spider-Man alongside Savage Hulk.

Here’s the plot synopsis for Spider-Man: Brand New Day:
After the world has forgotten his name, Peter Parker (Holland) begins a new chapter in his life — balancing college classes, part-time work, and his responsibility as New York’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. But when a mysterious force begins to unravel the city from the inside out, Peter finds himself caught between powerful enemies, old legacies, and unexpected allies. As shadows from the past creep into his present, he must redefine what it truly means to be a hero — on his own.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, the film will be a “multiversal grounded” story featuring multiple villains, including Tarantula, Scorpion, Boomerang, Tombstone, and more.
Brand New Day is currently in pre-production in the United Kingdom. Filming is scheduled to begin in mid-August in Glasgow, Scotland, with additional shoots planned in Morocco, Italy, and other locations. Production is expected to wrap by fall.
In the film, Holland will be returning as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon also reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds. Sadie Sink is rumored to play Gwen Stacy, Bernthal as Frank Castle, a.k.a. the Punisher, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, and Liza Colón-Zayas has been cast in an undisclosed role. Additionally, Michael Mando is expected to reprise his Spider-Man: Homecoming role as Mac Gargan.
The film will be produced by Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Mitch Bell.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to hit theaters and IMAX on July 31, 2026.
