Warning: This article contains spoilers for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
It’s a big spoiler week for MCU fans. The first trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day, starring Tom Holland, has leaked online. Although it’s a low-quality version of the trailer, you can still see the main characters, including Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal, and Mark Ruffalo.
We have also obtained the full description of the leaked Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer, which you can read below.
The trailer opens on an NYC skyline set to LCD Soundsystem’s “New York, I Love You but You’re Bringing Me Down,” perfectly reflecting Peter’s current life. He loves the city, but he’s completely alone. No one remembers him. He’s lost MJ, Ned, and Aunt May. We see Peter enter his small apartment from Spider-Man: No Way Home, tossing mail onto a table — possibly overdue rent notices, bills, or college rejection letters, as he is expected to attend university.
“Hi. My name is Peter Parker. You don’t remember me, but we knew each other. Something bad was going to happen, and the only way to stop it… was to make everyone forget about me. I’m not just Peter Parker. I’m… Spider-Man. And sometimes Spider-Man has to do the hard part, even if it breaks Peter Parker’s heart.”
The next scene takes place in an opening montage showing Spider-Man fighting multiple villains over the past few years. We can also hear J. Jonah Jameson calling Spidey a menace on his channel.
A quick shot shows someone recording Spider-Man, hinting at surveillance, which could tie into Colón-Zayas’ cop character.
The montage then shows Peter running without his mask, a recreation of Amazing Fantasy #15, a Brand New Day cover homage, and a stunning slow-motion swing shot. The Hand is confirmed as red-clad ninjas swarm Spider-Man before a massive action set piece.
The clip continues: “Sometimes Spider-Man has to do the hard thing and embrace the Peter Parker side,” as Peter enters the same restaurant from earlier. Inside, a hooded figure—Sadie Sink’s character—warns him: “You’re a mess, Spider-Man. Don’t get in my way. Otherwise, it won’t just be your friends who don’t remember who Peter Parker is.”
The trailer then cuts to audio only. We hear fighting, followed by Tombstone (Marvin Jones III) saying, “Spiders have three life cycles… between them, the spider is vulnerable. Those that survive are reborn.”
We then see Peter atop the armored truck from the set photos, Scorpion smiling after escaping prison, massive explosions, and incredibly expressive Spidey lenses. In another shot pulled straight from set leaks, the Punisher’s War Van slams into Spider-Man.
Peter later asks Bruce Banner for help outside a university. Banner responds, “You’re not one of my students, are you?”—confirming that Smart Hulk is now a professor, likely at ESU or MIT.
The song returns amid street fights, leading into the Spider-Man: Brand New Day logo and shots of the Punisher firing.
Spidey asks, “What are you doing here?”
Frank Castle responds, “Saving your ass. Can’t you see that?”
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. It stars Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds, and Tony Revolori as Eugene “Flash” Thompson.
Sadie Sink joins the cast alongside Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle (a.k.a. The Punisher) and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman have also been cast in undisclosed roles, while Michael Mando returns as Mac Gargan from Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Marvin Jones III has been confirmed to play Tombstone. Additionally, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova will appear in the movie.

After the world has forgotten his name, Peter Parker (Holland) begins a new chapter in his life — balancing college classes, part-time work, and his responsibility as New York’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. But when a mysterious force begins to unravel the city from the inside out, Peter finds himself caught between powerful enemies, old legacies, and unexpected allies. As shadows from the past creep into his present, he must redefine what it truly means to be a hero — on his own.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to hit theaters and IMAX on July 31, 2026.
