Marvel Studios has greenlit the Strange Academy series for Disney+.
According to Daniel Richtman in a post on his Patreon, “Marvel is reportedly fast-tracking the Disney+ Strange Academy series, with production potentially beginning in 2026.”
In Marvel Comics, Strange Academy is about Doctor Strange starting a Hogwarts-style academy to train future sorcerers who will protect Earth, similar to the Ancient One in the MCU.
Insider @MyTimeToShineH has already reported that Benedict Wong will be the main lead of the Strange Academy series. Benedict Cumberbatch‘s Doctor Strange will also appear, but in a small role.
The insider shares, “Benedict Wong is confirmed to star in Strange Academy. If Benedict Cumberbatch appears, it will be a small role. Right now, he’s not confirmed to return.”
The series is produced by Marvel Television.
Strange Academy will premiere on Disney+ after Avengers: Secret Wars.
