Following filming in the U.K., Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps will begin its second filming schedule in Spain in mid-November. The cast will be shooting at the Calatrava in Oviedo, which will serve as the UN headquarters in the film.

According to the Spanish news portal La Nueva España, around 200 technicians will arrive in Oviedo for the filming—some of whom have already begun setting up equipment to transform the Calatrava building into the United Nations Headquarters of the Marvel universe. The Oviedo City Council has reinforced cleaning efforts—particularly for outdoor areas—though most filming will take place inside the building. Key filming locations include the auditorium, entrance hall, and the glass room.

A casting campaign for extras was held last week at the same venue—attracting around 500 applicants. The production company has signed a €30,000 agreement with the City Council—for the use of the necessary spaces, as well as for dismantling and reassembling equipment at the Palacio de Congresos.
