The trailer shows White Vision, disguised as a human, entering a mansion where he encounters servants who turn out to be AI characters previously seen in the MCU, now in human form. James D’Arcy reprises his role as Jarvis. He is joined by the human incarnations of Friday, who replaced Jarvis, and Edith, Tony Stark’s artificial intelligence program from the sunglasses in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

But the biggest reveals were saved for the end of the VisionQuest footage: the return of Ultron — in human form and once again played by James Spader (sporting a thick beard). You’ll remember that (Red) Vision killed Ultron in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Marvel’s Vision Quest trailer debuted at NYCC 2025, revealing new details set one year after WandaVision. Watch the full breakdown here.

At the end of the trailer, Ultron reveals the son that this Vision has never met: Tommy Maximoff, played by Ruaridh Mollica.

In a recent interview with Rotten Tomatoes at NYCC, Paul Bettany revealed that Vision Quest takes place one year after the events of WandaVision — which is two years before the events of Agatha All Along.

He said, “White Vision was given all of Red Vision’s memories, including those from within the Hex. He’s struggling to feel them, to connect with the memories. He understands them intellectually, but he wants to feel them. That’s part of the journey explored in the show.”

The show, created by Terry Matalas for Disney+, is based on the Marvel Comics character Vision. A spin-off of WandaVision (2021), it is the 18th television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), produced by Marvel Studios under the Marvel Television label. Matalas serves as both showrunner and director.

VisionQuest will premiere on Disney+ in late 2026 and will consist of eight episodes. The series will be part of Phase Six of the MCU.
