The VOD release date for Travis Knight‘s Masters of the Universe has been revealed.
The film will be available to buy or rent on Digital HD platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Vudu, and Google Play Movies, starting on July 21, 2026.
The film holds a 68% critics’ score and an 86% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, a 6.9/10 rating on IMDb, and received a B CinemaScore.
In Masters of the Universe, director Travis Knight brings the legendary franchise back to the big screen in an epic live-action adventure. After being separated from the Sword of Power for 15 years, Prince Adam (Nicholas Galitzine) is led back to Eternia, where he discovers his home shattered under the fiendish rule of Skeletor (Jared Leto). To save his family and his world, Adam must join forces with his closest allies, Teela (Camila Mendes) and Duncan/Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba), and embrace his true destiny as He-Man—the most powerful man in the universe.
Knight directs Masters of the Universe from a script by Chris Butler, Aaron Nee, Adam Nee, and David Callaham. The movie adapts Mattel’s famous franchise and follows the 1987 live-action film.
